FORVIA wins significant new business across three business groups with major European automaker

FORVIA, a global leader in automotive technologies and sustainable mobility solutions, has been awarded more than $1 billion in new and extended business acquisitions with a major European automaker.

The awards include technologies from FORVIA’s Seating, Interiors, and FORVIA HELLA’s lighting business groups and will be manufactured across seven plants in the United States and Mexico to support the automaker’s North America production operations.

“These awards reaffirm FORVIA as a trusted partner and supplier of choice to customers around the world, underscoring our commitment to advancing sustainable mobility and supporting localized production with North American manufacturing expertise,” said Francois Tardif, Executive Vice President Americas.

Comprehensive technology across key areas for tomorrow’s mobility

Within these acquisitions, FORVIA will deliver several innovative solutions:

  • Seating
    • Front seat structures, foam, trim covers, and complete seat assembly delivering improved comfort, quality, and optimized lightweight design.
  • Interiors
    • Instrument and door panels tailored to the automaker, incorporating natural fiber materials in the door panels to create a functional yet more sustainable experience that seamlessly integrates into the entire cockpit design.
  • Lighting
    • LED headlamp module with each lens designed for precise light distribution, enabling adaptive beam shaping and high efficiency.

Strong regional footprint

In North America, FORVIA employs approximately 26,000 team members in 43 locations across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. In 2024, FORVIA North America generated around €7 billion in sales and supplies more than 20 customers with technologies in the areas of interiors, seating, clean mobility, electronics, lighting, and lifecycle solutions.
