Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Engineering Changes Coordinator for its Tier 1 Production at Fort Wayne, Indiana.
 
The role of the Engineering Change Coordinator is to manage and track product related changes (new product launches, product transfers, product changes, and product phase-outs) within the site.  The main missions of the role include:
 
  • Perform Plant PC&L activities-reference New program launch PC&L checklist
  • Champion weekly change control meeting with representation from plant teams (Quality, PC&L, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering) to drive and communicate engineering change within the plant.
  • Coordinate PC&L activities for line moves and transfers for the site (including service)
  • Manage product Bill of Material in SAP
  • Coordinate packaging approvals and confirm new transportation routes set up for new programs
  • Coordinate order requirements from intercompany facilities prior to PPAP status.
  • Secure the new model/trial parts from shipments without required approval.
  • Conduct Audit of the Bill of Material: SAP BOM vs Actual; Engineering vs manufacturing.
  • Manage application dates of product modifications according to engineering change procedures
  • Develop & maintain strong communication channels with program teams. Participate in APQP review and respond as needed. 
  • Ensure that changes (including launches) are taken into account in production scheduling (PIC and PDP) and in shop-floor PC&L activities (i.e. materials segregation, FIFO before/after change)
  • Work with PC&L and program teams to reduce product obsolescence. Manage monthly obsolescence review with plant controlling.
  • Perform new program work-package requirements and other plant launch activities as required.
The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Knowledge of production planning, manufacturing methods, production/inventory control, and purchasing
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in production / industrial environment
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong team player
